The PCM-S-0634 DMX512 Line Tester from Premier Cable allows users to quickly detect DMX512 light signal integrity and identify open or short circuits by observing the LED indicators, making it an essential tool for testing and troubleshooting various DMX fixtures, such as stage lights, LED Par lights, moving heads, laser lights, and special effect lights.

DMX512 Light Signal Tester – Instructions for Use

There are three LED indicators on the tester:

• L1 (Red) → XLR Pin 1
• L2 (Green) → XLR Pin 2
• L3 (Blue) → XLR Pin 3

Indicator Status:

• All LEDs on → DMX Signal output normal.
• Only L1 on → Pin 1 open or no signal.
• Only L2 on → Pin 2 open or no signal.
• Only L3 on → Pin 3 open or no signal.
• L1 + L2 on → Short circuit between Pin 1 and Pin 2.
• L1 + L3 on → Short circuit between Pin 1 and Pin 3.
• L2 + L3 on → Short circuit between Pin 2 and Pin 3.
• All LEDs off → More than two pins open or no signal.
