5 Pin DMX Signal Tester – Instructions for Use

1. Indicator Lights & Pin Correspondence

There are three LED indicators on the tester:

• L1 (Red) → Pin 1
• L2 (Green) → Pin 2
• L3 (Blue) → Pin 3

2. LED Indicator Status:

• All LEDs on → Signal output normal.
• Only L1 on → Pin 1 open-circuited or no signal.
• Only L2 on → Pin 2 open-circuited or no signal.
• Only L3 on→ Pin 3 open-circuited or no signal.
• L1 + L2 on → Pin 1-2 short-circuited.
• L1 + L3 on → Pin 1-3 short-circuited.
• L2 + L3 on → Pin 2-3 short-circuited.
• All LEDs off → More than two pins open-circuited or no signal.

3. Notes:

• Limited to DMX512 light signal use.
• Do not test on other equipment to prevent damage.
